We are always on the lookout for talented, opinionated people to join our team of curators*.
Our guiding principle is intersectionality. If you are only interested in the ‘LG’ in LGBTQ+, then The Queerness is not for you. We believe that our community is strengthened by a commitment to engaging with the issues pertinent to all of us.
Becoming a curator will expose your work to a global audience and enable you to learn key media skills, as well as being a member of a great team of LGBTQ+ writers.
Although we welcome applications from experienced writers, we also wish to support new writers in developing their skills. It is therefore not mandatory to have written content similar to ours before. A willingness to work collaboratively and intersectionally is all we ask for. If you are dyslexic, for example, this is not a barrier to getting involved.
If you think you have what it takes to be part of a living, breathing, dynamic critical collective, click here for more information and to apply.
Although all talented writers are encouraged to get involved, we are particularly interested in hearing from LGBTQ+ women of colour, disabled LGBTQ+ people and writers aged 50+.
* The Queerness is a non-commercial site. All contributions are unpaid.
